Kyiv children's hospital tragedy. Please help!

Updated: Jul 17, 2024

We received a first-hand report recently from one of our Ukrainian refugee guests now back living with her young son in Kyiv. She described their experience of the bombing of the children’s hospital close to their home:

“We’re fine, don’t worry. But I have never been so scared before… We did not have time to go down to the shelter… the refrigerator in the kitchen shook from the blast… and my hands are shaking”.

Trying to protect her son from the fear she said, “I told him that the garbage was being dumped and a thunderstorm began without rain. I hope he believed it.”

We remain in touch with many of the Ukrainian families who stayed with us in

Brightwell cum Sotwell.
